Infrared Sauna

Detox your body with a good sweat session! Not only will you be eliminating toxins through sweat, but your cardiovascular system will also be getting a work out as your heart rate increases due to the heat, which can be similar to moderate – intensive physical exercise

What is Infrared Sauna?

Infrared light is a naturally occurring part of the suns spectrum that provides significant health benefits using heat. The saunas provide you with a safe and natural experience as if you were laying out in the sun but without the UVA / UVB rays damaging your skin.

Traditional saunas utilise heaters, hot rocks and steam to warm the air, whereas Infrared saunas use the wavelengths to directly heat the body, this allows the saunas to be run at a lower temperature (45-65 degrees compared to 80-90degrees) which makes them a more pleasant environment to be in.

To ensure you have the best experience there are a few tips, suggestions & house rules:

Recommended sessions are 30mins – 45mins. The temperature can be adjusted to suit your experience.

Make sure you are well hydrated before, during and after your sauna – water is available in the room

You are able to connect your music to the speaker system in the sauna, so if heavy metal or true crime podcasts are your way to relax – feel free (we just ask that you are considerate of other people relaxing in the centre at the same time)

You will continue to sweat after your session has finished and it is recommended that you allow this process to occur naturally. Showering immediately afterwards with stop the benefits of the infrared session. However, there is a shower available in your room if you wish (deodorant and baby wipes are also available)
